Biona organic supports Jubilee Sailing Trust Pumpkin Festival
9th Oct 2008
The Pumpkin Festival is in its eleventh year and is a fundraiser for the Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST). JST is a Southampton based national charity that aims to integrate people of all physical abilities through the challenge and adventure of tall ship sailing, on the purpose built tall ships Lord Nelson and Tenacious. These voyages are often life changing for the disabled and able bodied people onboard. The experience is all based on team work and playing an equal part no matter what the disability.
At the event, there will be many activities, including competitions and tastings, all helping to raise money for the JST. Biona are delighted to be able to contribute to the cause by donating Biona 3 Seed Flapjacks – Pumpkin, Sunflower and Linseed, for everyone to enjoy.
Money raised from the festival will help sponsor people aged 16 to 70, disabled and able bodied to experience a voyage that will increase confidence, self esteem and encourage social and physical challenges for all.
The Festival is on Saturday 1tth October, Royal Victoria Country Park, Southampton.
